While sitting here eating an unhealthy amount of cheese and crackers, I’m reminded of this weekend’s failed attempt at dining out. You might wonder how, exactly, one fails at dinning out. You go to a restaurant, order food, eat, pay and everyone involved is happy, right? Well, things didn’t go quite right this time.
My wife wanted to try a new Italian restaurant. I absolutely love Italian food, so this one seemed like a no brainer. We found a location near a store we like and decided to make an evening of it.
We got there and it was still early- the place was fairly empty, wait staff was quite fast, we were seated, and we couldn’t pick a dish. We almost always split our meals, so we have to agree on something. The wife suggested a dish that had sausage, some other Italian meats and a pasta that I don’t remember.. it was like fusilli or something. I expected little rice-like grains of pasta.
We order, and our food arrives. I take about three bites and then it hits me: we had leftovers at home that were about 90% the same as the meal we had just ordered! The mystery pasta was spiral pasta. We had a big batch of spiral pasta and sausage at home. We could have totally eaten at home and had pretty much the same meal.
The night wasn’t a total fail… the restaurant was good. We just chose poorly. Also, we found a PS2 game for my wife and it was only five bucks.

I started working on an audio project, and I got stuck stuck stuck. So, basically, all you get is a three minute loop. I like where it is, but can’t seem to take it to another place, if ya know what I mean.

I haven’t been working on music much lately- I’m just not in the mood. This happens every now and then… I take a six month hiatus and come back stronger than ever. In the meantime, I’m still playing my bass guitar almost daily.
