I have to admit my one guilty tv viewing pleasure: America’s Next Top Model. I know, you would never guess I’d watch a show like that. It goes against everything I believe, but truly, it is like junk food or something. I love watching it on El Paso TX Satellite TV. I love hearing about where the models come from, their struggles, their wishes, etc. I love watching how they work to get the picture just right, and then love how Tyra Bankstears them to pieces. It really cracks me up how dramatic she is, especially during the elimination portion. And the dresses they get to wear! Gorgeous. See, I’m totally sucked in. When the episode is not on, I watch reruns. My husband walks in the room and just groans because he knows if I am watching America’s Next Top Model, he might as well be talking to a brick wall because I am so absorbed in the show. It is funny, really. None of my friends watch the show, and they think I’m crazy.

Once again, I’m late to the party. I never played Mass Effect until this newest release. I mean, I played the Mass Effect 2 demo, but I was unimpressed. The Mass Effect 3 multiplayer really won me over; It is truly enjoyable. I’m even having fun playing the campaign! In fact, this is the first new game purchase that I’ve made in a long time that wasn’t a bit of a disappointment. I just hope they release some more multiplayer maps, and maybe a few new gametypes.

My husband is all about saving money but if you ask me he goes about it the wrong way. He’s all about saving a dollar at a time and I’m more about the big changes that save you several hundred at once which is why I spend a lot of time looking for things like DIRECTV Deals and cheaper option for taking care of the yard. I know it doesn’t seem like much but if I can save a couple hundred bucks once a month it really adds up over the course of a year. I actually saved us so much money this year already I think we will have enough money to visit my family in New Yorkfor Christmas which will be a first for us. I just love feeling like I’m getting the most bang for my buck and I know my husband really appreciates that just because I don’t work doesn’t mean I don’t think about money. The way I see it, we are a team and saving is for both of us!
