I was a big fan of the original Battlefield 1942. It was just fun as heck, and I played the hell out of it. Sadly, it didn’t age well, and the last time I played it, I was unimpressed. That’s what happens when you play a game that is really old.
This game comes out on July 9, and I’m seriously considering parting with the 1200 microsoft points to buy this puppy. I’ll probably get the demo first, but if there is no demo, I’m going to take a chance on it. I just wish this trailer showed more gameplay footage.
The only reason I put this together is because I stumbled into the audio track- it’s a song called Different Colours- One People (the preview sounds different-, but trust me, it’s the right track)
by a dude named Lucky Dube. I’d heard of him, and thought I’d check out his music… I thought it sucked… okay, that’s an understatement- I couldn’t stand to listen to it for more than a few minutes. It’s too world music and not enough roots natty for my tastes. But whatever… dude has like twenty albums and he’s supposed to be well received. It’s just not my cup of tea.
I made this using photoshop to create the stills… about 150 of them… then I dropped those jpegs into windows movie maker to turn it into video… then the audio work was done with acid pro 6. Blah blah blah. Enjoy!
Looks like Jamaicans are getting a little too rowdy on the dance floor… with a dance style called “daggering” [youtube- nsfw-ish]. Guys are ending up with broken -get this- penises. The dance style has been banned due to dudes who take their dance floor antics to the bedroom and end up busting their willies.
I made this last year. Yes, there used to be a slyhoax.net . .. I had ringtones on it. Let’s just say that it didn’t work out too well.
This song didn’t make it to my most recent album because I somehow lost some essential sound files that went with the audio project… this happens from time to time. So, this might be the only copy of it I have. Well, shit happens, and this isn’t the first time I’ve lost audio tracks due to file misplacement or computer errors. Also, I try to make better backups of my audio projects now.
So, I watched the Star Trek movie and it wasn’t bad… but before that, there were the previews… and it seems that instead of a crappy slideshow, our theater has decided that they will just show previews, which is kinda nice.
Anyway, I saw the G.I. Joe Trailer for the first time ever. Know what I thought? It looked like Halo with ninjas.
